Shennie Smith, MA., LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I have extensive experience and training in working with adults and children who have been affected by trauma, and supporting individuals, couples and families through transitions while working on positive communication and coping skills. I am highly trained in working with the LGBTQ+ community, with issues ranging from exploring and identifying sexuality and gender to working on PTSD, depression and anxiety.
I have spent years of my career working with clients experiencing substance use disorders at inpatient and outpatient treatment centers. I use a trauma-informed, compassionate approach that supports and inspires clients towards making their own decisions and changes. I believe that you hold all the answers to the questions you are asking, and I will support you on your path towards uncovering them.
In addition to this, I am currently utilizing Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy with clients who are interested in a different therapeutic approach. This type of treatment can accelerate healing and has proven to have significant positive impact on treatment-resistant symptoms.
